If you are already using CDN, dedicated cyber protection service, or proxy, then you should contact your webmaster or hosting provider for your origin IP. You might not able to locate your origin IP via the following method.
Accessing your hosting service
Simply access to your hosting service provider, locate and copy the server IP address, and paste it in the “Origin Address” field when adding a site via mlytics.
For Mac / Linux / Unix users
Open the Terminal app, and enter the following command:
Let’s take “www.test.com” as an example: when you type “dig www.test.com” you’ll get something like this:
The “Answer Section” will be the returning result you’ll be looking at. It shows there’s an A record for “www.test.com” and is pointing to a designated IP, and this is the origin IP we’re looking for.
