Once you’ve finished adding a site via mlytics, the system will auto-assign a CNAME for your website. The next step is to create a CNAME record via your DNS provider with the assigned CNAME.
Let’s take “www.test.com” as an example, and assuming “www.test.com” was entered properly for the “Site Domain Name” field when adding a site via mlytics.
Below is the most common scenario, the solutions are as follows:
- Edit the A record to the following configurations:
- Host: “Site Domain Name” you entered when adding a site via mlytics (test.com in this case)
- Type: CNAME
- Value: The assigned mlytics CNAME
- DNS TTL: 600 seconds (The shorter this is, the faster it takes into effect)
